Your Stories Are Safe with Me

I fully understand it is not easy to tell someone your stories, speak your private and painful experiences aloud for all to hear, react to.

I fully understand it is not easy to write your stories down, put your private and painful experiences on a page for all to see, react to.

Time can add weight and resistance to our most private memories, making them difficult to pull up our throats and off our tongues, making them difficult to push through our fingertips and onto the pages.

Despite the difficulties in getting them out, and all our fears of letting them out, sometimes we simply need to do it.

A moment arrives when sharing them becomes the only option.

Please know that no matter what your fears are, ones you don’t need to have are that your stories won’t be heard, won’t be read, won’t have someone able to handle them, won’t have someone who will take the time to hold your words in their heart, respect their importance, keep them safe.

I am here.

I am listening.

I am reading.

I am up for the task.

For your stories are invaluable.

As is your voice.

As are you.
