Here in the Northeastern United States, we get very special storms called Nor’easters.
Basically, it’s whatever wind and rain happens all around us and comes here to meet up in the form of snow, sleet, blizzard conditions, and all around sucky times.
The Weather Channel has been giving strong, ass-kicking names to hurricanes, tropical storms, blizzards and the like for a while now. Names of angry gods, tough broads, and the kind of people you don’t want to bump into in a dark alley.
This Nor’easter does not have one of those names.
And it’s causing my preparations for dealing with potential power outages and being snowed in for a couple of days to have a theme song.
A really annoying theme song.

My five year old is now convinced all blizzards are named after animated movies. He can hardly wait for Blizzard Despicable Me.
