I’m putting my money where my mouth is.
Now on my blog store there are 3 new t-shirts you can purchase. 20% of the price of the tees will be donated towards cancer research.
I personally will match that amount when writing the donation check.

“Cancer Sucks” Tee in a Spacey font for the Dudes
Every little bit helps. My mom kicked Peritoneal Cancer’s ass recently, but I lost a friend to Hodgkin’s Lymphoma this week. I’m doing this for all of us who have fought it in our bodies or in our hearts because a loved one was diagnosed. Let’s do this.

Love it. Good stuff, Kim!

Thanks, JD!
Kick its ass and kick it hard.

That’s the plan, girl. I’m ON it.
I lost a friend to cancer when we were only 31. He wore a Cancer Sucks baseball hat from right when he was diagnosed until the day he died, less than a year later. Cancer does suck, and humor is sometimes our only weapon.

The conversations I have with my mom about cancer should have had us both put away in an insane asylum. I mean, who laughs about cancer?? But it helped. It really helped.
I love that your friend wore that cap. He sounded awesome. Sorry he had to go.
I wish I had the extra money … when I do, you know I’ll get one.
In 2 weeks, I’m walking in our Local Relay for Life … I’ll be thinking of you and your friend, and your families, with each step
<3 Hang in there.

You are so kind. Thank you.
I’ll keep these in the shop for good, so keep your eyes peeled for a coupon code and take your time.
Thanks for walking and thinking of us.
No thanks necessary.
Also – my 5 yr old has asked that after her dance recital (next weekend) we cut 8 inches off her hair, and donate it to locks of love … for “another little girl who is sick and can’t grow her hair like I can”.
They aren’t as innocent and free as we think they are, are they?

Squeeze that kid tight. What a girl.
Hell fucking yeah, Kim. You are a rockstar.
As someone with BRCA2 mutation, I salute you. Hugs!!!
Thanks, Noa! And may that BRCA2 mutation sit the eff back and leave you ALONE.
I am sorry for the loss of your friend. The world dims when such lights leave.
Thank you for highlighting what a bastard cancer is. My mother died at 41 with lymphoma leaving 6 children and a loving husband) and my 4 y.o. grandson has been battling neuroblastoma for almost two years. This awful disease claims around 70% of its victims who are usually babies when diagnosed with stage 4 (it goes unnoticed until then).
I want to thank you for your fundraising help. One thing we have been told is that money donated to cancer research is generally funneled to adult cancers unless it is specifically requested to be sent to pediatric cancers. Ironically, research on childhood cancers can benefit adult cancers but not vice versa. Among the many things you wish you didn’t learn in the club you didn’t want to join.
Followed a comment you left at The Bloggess and love your posts. Thank you for sharing your skills. Your gifts are appreciated.
