To All The Single Ladies

August 1, 2010 By Kim Bongiorno at LetMeStartBySaying 10 Comments

Do yourself a favor.

When you find the guy who, in 10 years, will see that you’re really tired & offer to take both kids out to the theater on his own to see something like  Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore just so you can have a free, childless Sunday to shop for yourself and do whatever you want…marry him.

Settle for nothing less.  Trust me, he’s worth the wait.

It was listed as 2D but was actually 3D, so Miss A was scared the whole time. But…they did say afterwards they liked it. I thinkif it wasn’t 3D, they would have liked it more. Hubby didn’t exactly have any rave reviews, lol.

I realized today that because our roles are reversed (I bring home the bacon, he fries it up in a pan) I also fall into the ‘husband role’ in other ways, like when I announce that I have a dinner date and I’m ditching him with the kid. Have to get more mindful of that.

At least you’re actually thinking about how he’s being “ditched” with the kid while you’re out. I know some SAHMs whose husbands truly don’t think they should ever “have to” bathe/feed/put their own kids to bed becuse they don’t earn any $$. That makes my brain implode…considering it babysitting when its your own kids. Aak.

You can always add that requirement to your profile on match.com or the like. 😉
